Alumni Picnic

The Steinert Football Booster Club invites all football alumni to the kickoff for the 2008 season. The team will be playing their last scrimmage game on September 5, 2008 at Steinert followed by a picnic and reception.

Player / Family Picnic

Following the last scrimmage, we will be having our annual player and family picnic and invite all players and their families to attend.  This year, in honor of our 50th season, we have invited alumni to meet our players and coaches and enjoy a great time.

50th Thanksgiving Rivalry Football Game

As you are aware, there are many events being planned for the Thanksgiving Day game between Steinert and Hamilton West. Please see attached flyer for more details. Also, if you are interested in ordering a throw-back jersey, please complete the form located at the bottom of the flyer and mail as directed. The deadline for these jerseys is August 10, 2008.

Please mark your calendars - Football Picture Day will be conducted this year at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 26th. The pictures will be taken by TSS Photography (Mike Brescio) and serve as a fundraiser for the organization. Envelopes detailing prices and products will be distributed in the near future. We have a scrimmage at home beginning 10:30 versus Hunterdon Central that day. There should be sufficient time for the students to eat lunch and shower. Arrangements will be made to accommodate those students who do not have midday transportation to go home and shower.

Attention Freshmen Parents!

There will be a mandatory meeting for all Freshmen Parents on Aug 27, 2008 at 7:30 PM in the Steinert High School Cafeteria.  There will be much information discussed regarding the football program, the booster club and expectations and required commitments of the freshmen parents.  This will also be an opportunity to ask any and all questions you might have.

Rewards Card

This year, the football players will be selling a rewards card with many discounts offered.  The cost per rewards card is $20.  They will be distributed to each player by the end of August 2008.  Coach Caruso will take the lead on this major fundraiser and encourages all players to participate.  So, spread the word and let people know they will be here soon.

 

Physical and Parent Consent Forms

Attention Players

There are many players who have not handed in their physical forms and/or their updated parent consent forms.  If these forms are not completed, players will not be able to participate beginning the start of the official practice season on August 15, 2008.  Please complete and return all documents to the nurse at Steinert High School.  If you are not sure of your child’s status, you may call the nurse at 631-4150 and follow the prompts.  The nurse will return your call promptly as to the status.  If you have a scheduling problem with your physician for a physical, the school will be doing physicals on August 13, 2008 at 9:00 am.  Please call the school nurse for an appointment.  All forms can be found under the “Forms” section of the website.

We would like to send a special “thank you” to all the volunteers that helped complete the field projects; preparing the practice field for seed and with the cleaning and restacking of the equipment in the storage container on July 12th in preparation for the upcoming season.

TASK VOLUNTEERS

As we approach a new season, the first Tuesday of each month through September 2008, Steinert Football Players give their time to those in need by volunteering at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK).  Football players that would like to participate for any upcoming month may reach out to Mr. Joe Conklin at joeconklin@steinertfootball.com or you may see Coach Caruso.
